Up Up and Away!

ACTOR/MUSICIAN
CREATIVE

An utterly passionate and dynamic performer who gives his all in every instance. An artist through and through. Emotional. Funny. Self-Aware. Goofy.

I AM AN ACTOR

Trained in NYC at Circle in The Square Theatre School it was a magical time with immense growth. Acting is arguably my deepest love. I was cast in a show when i was 17 and never looked back....
It's obvious in retrospect, I needed something. And it was performing, acting in particular, which allowed me to find out who I wanted to be. It has given me the opportunity and awareness to stay honest with myself. The experience of delving into a character has afforded me joy unparalleled. As an actor, it is my job to tell the truth, to struggle to the tell the truth, to live honestly in a moment.

I AM A MUSICIAN

As a Singer of the band SYRRAH, I helped to curate songs that were deeply personal and cathartic. One never quite knew what to expect, myself included.
Additionally, I, along with my partner Greg McGarvey, created the Jolly Tinkers over a decade ago. Its a true amalgamation of Celtic Folk/Pop music with a modern and often regional interpretation that I pride myself on.

Musically, I always return to the well that I explored at conservatory, drawing deeply upon my experience as it is my muse indeed. Not just the pain that exists in this beautiful and tragic life, but the joy, the stasis, the humility, the want and need to be fulfilled.

RIGHTEOUS JOLLY

Tennyson said ‘I am a part of all that I have met’
No truer phrase encompasses the work that I do. Drawing from every moment that has found me, The Good the Bad and the Fugly! To attempt growth in every moment is daunting, but there is a lesson to be learned in all things and it's in the nooks and crannies of that love and chaos that I humbly attempt to draw my artistry from. Character study to song, from the movement of my spine, to my furrowed brow. From the sound of a mournful wail to the feeling of sunshine on our skin; to humbly attempt to tell a story is what I do, and will continue to.
